HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hose got the scoring started early with an RBI triple off the bat of Chase Hughes before an RBI single from Jay Wetherington extended the lead to 2-0.
- PC extended the lead in the third when Sean Klein recorded a two-run single which was followed up by Ryan Ouzts scoring on a Knights wild pitch.
- The third was capped by a sacrifice fly from Brody Fahr to give the Blue Hose a 6-0 lead.
- Both teams were held without a run to the sixth when Eric Toth lined a double down the left field line and Ouzts added an RBI groundout to push it to 8-0.
- Bellarmine got on the board in the ninth with a two-run double followed by a two-run homer to cut the deficit in half, 8-4 but the Blue Hose were able to secure the sweep over the Knights.
