Lacrosse Looks to End Skid at Home

CLINTON, S.C.- The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team will look to end their three-game losing skid as they host the Longwood Lancers on Saturday, April 2 at 1pm.

Matchup: Presbyterian (2-7, 0-1) vs. Longwood (4-5, 1-0)

Date: Saturday, April 2
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Site: Bailey Memorial Stadium | Clinton, SC

Scouting the Lancers:

Longwood comes into the contest with a 4-5 record, and most recently coming away with a Big South win in their first conference action, a 13-8 win over Radford. The team from Farmville, Va. has been up and down lately, going on a two-game losing streak before winning two, then losing two again before their first conference victory.

The Lancers are led up front by junior Claire Libby who has a team-high 20 goals this season. She leads the country in shooting percentage, converting at a remarkable 71%. Three other Lancers are in double figures in the goal department as well. Expect Amelia Carlile to start between the pipes as she has made five starts this season with a .455 save percentage.

Notables:

- Presbyterian was defeated by the Mercer Bears in their first conference action last weekend. Willow Hammond scored in the game making her the second player to reach double-digits in goals this season.

- Abby Edmisten leads the Blue Hose with 22 goals. She ranks 4th in the conference in goals/game (2.75), and 2nd in the country in free-position goals/game at 1.62.

- PC is in search of their first Big South win of the season. Last year their first conference win came against Longwood by a 12-11 final.
