MOREHEAD, KY. – The Presbyterian College baseball team dropped a doubleheader on Sunday to the host Morehead State. The Eagles recorded a 6-5 win in nine innings in game one before an 18-3 victory in the series finale in seven innings at Allen Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE
- Morehead State pushed across the first run of the contest in the opening inning with an RBI single to take the early 1-0 lead.
- The Eagles added three runs in the third to push the advantage to 4-0 after three innings.
- PC got on the board in the fourth with a Jay Wetherington RBI single before an Eagles error pushes across a second run.
- The fourth inning was capped with a Brody Fahr sacrifice fly to make it 4-3 Morehead State after 3.5 innings.
- In the seventh, after a Sean Klein walk the Blue Hose got down to their final out before Jack Gorman recorded a two-run homer to push the Blue Hose to a 5-4 lead.
- Morehead State with an infield single in the home half of the seventh to tie the game back at five and force extras in game one.
- The hosts in the ninth recorded a walk-off RBI single to take down the Blue Hose in game one by the score of 6-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO
- The Eagles got on the board first with five runs in the first to take the early 5-0 lead.
- In the fourth, Eric Toth picked up an RBI single before a Fahr RBI groundout cut the deficit to three, 5-2 after 3.5 innings.
- Morehead State pushed across eight runs in the fifth to take a commanding 13-2 lead.
- The Eagles added five in the sixth to earn the series win and doubleheader sweep of the Blue Hose on Sunday afternoon.
- Joel Dragoo hit a solo homer in the seventh for his second long ball of the season before MSU clinched the series.
NOTABLES
- In game one, Jack Gorman connected on his second homer of the season which pushed him to his team-high 11th multi-hit game of the year.
- With his hits in both games on Sunday, Fahr pushed his reached base streak to 23 games in a row. In game one, he connected on his second triple of the season.
- Dragoo connected on his second homer of the year in game two.
- Toth now has hits in nine straight games with his hits in each game. The senior's nine-game hit streak is a team-high.
- Freshman Tanner Smith struck out the side in his one inning of work for a season-high with three strikeouts.
- Logan Ymker has now had five straight appearances without allowing a run. He's tossed 7.2 innings in that stretch with 13 strikeouts.
