Lacrosse Heads to Gardner-Webb for Weekend Matchup

CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team travels to Gardner-Webb on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with the Runnin' Bulldogs at Spangler Stadium. The game will be shown on ESPN+ on Saturday afternoon.

  • Junior Abby Edmisten leads the way for PC on the offensive end with 32 goals following a team-high goals on Wednesday night against Winthrop.
  • Edmisten is fourth in the nation averaging 1.33 free-position goals per game.
  • Nya Bettis leads the Blue Hose in draw controls with 31 on the year as she's also tallied seven goals.
  • Sophomore Kendall Goldfarb leads the defense for PC with 17 caused turnovers with Paige Gacek right behind at 14.
  • Freshman Willow Hammond scored her 14th goal of the season in the setback against the Eagles. Hammond has totaled 24 draw controls and nine groundballs as well this season.
  • Goalie Heidi Shafer is second in the conference with 109 saves as she's made all 13 starts during the 2022 season. Shafer became the fourth player in the Blue Hose DI era to total 300+ saves with her 10 stops on Wednesday night.
  • Gardner-Webb earned a tight 12-11 decision last April against the Blue Hose in Boiling Springs which was the last head-to-head matchup between the two schools.

  • Maddie Martin leads the way for Gardner-Webb with 81 draw controls averaging 6.23 per game. She ranks 21st nationally with that 6.23 per game.
  • Danielle Burke is second in the league with 109 saves. Burke holds a 41.1 save percentage as she's made all 13 starts for Gardner-Webb
