Women's Basketball Announces 2022-23 Slate

CLINTON, S.C. -- Presbyterian College and head women's basketball coach Alaura Sharp announced the program's schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Hose are set for 29 games during the upcoming season, with 14 of those contests coming at the Templeton Center.

"We are looking forward to a great season. Our non-conference schedule is full of challenges and some exciting matchups. These games will allow us to learn about ourselves and grow into the team we want to be for conference play," commented head coach Alaura Sharp. "The conference will be extremely competitive this year and we look forward to competing against the great players and coaches in the Big South conference." 

The Blue Hose begin the 2022-23 season with three straight home contests, starting with a matchup against Carolina University on Nov. 7. PC follows that contest up with a pair of Southern Conference matchups in Templeton against Furman (Nov. 11) and Western Carolina (Nov. 15).

Presbyterian begins a four-game 11-day road trip with a pair of games in Minnesota beginning on Nov. 19 at St. Thomas before battling Big 10 foe Minnesota the next day.

Following the Thanksgiving holiday, the Blue Hose head to Morehead State on Nov. 26 before a visit to UNC Greensboro on Nov. 30 to wrap up the road swing for the Blue Hose.

PC returns to Clinton on Dec. 3 for a visit from Jacksonville. The Blue Hose hit the road for a pair of trips to the Sunshine State beginning on Dec. 6 against Florida out of the SEC and then battle Florida State out of the ACC on December 15.

The non-conference schedule wraps up on Dec. 20 with a home contest against Bluefield.

The Blue Hose begin Big South play on Dec. 29 with a road trip to face Campbell before returning home two days later to battle Radford on New Year's Eve. The Blue Hose wrap up the brief two-game home stretch on Jan. 4 with a contest against Winthrop.

PC hits the road for the first time in the 2023 calendar year with back-to-back contests against Charleston Southern (Jan. 7) and Gardner-Webb (Jan. 11). The Blue Hose return home for matchups against High Point (Jan. 14) and USC Upstate (Jan. 18).

The month of January closes out with a road contest at Longwood (Jan. 21) and at Winthrop (Jan. 28) along with a home game in between with UNC Asheville (Jan. 25).

As February starts, PC will be on the road at Radford (Feb. 1) before returning home to battle Gardner-Webb (Feb. 4) and Longwood (Feb. 8).

PC has back-to-back road contests at UNC Asheville (Feb. 11) and High Point (Feb. 15) before welcoming Campbell to the Templeton Center on February 18.

The regular season wraps up with a road trip to Spartanburg to face USC Upstate (Feb. 22) before hosting Charleston Southern (Feb. 25).

The conference tournament will once again be held at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C. and is set to begin on March 1.
