CLINTON, S.C. – Junior Jack Wofford of the Presbyterian College men's golf team has been selected as this week's Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week. Last week, Wofford captured the individual title at the Elon Phoenix Invitational, October 16-17. For his performance last week, he was named Big South Golfer of the Week.
 
The Greenville, South Carolina native became the first PC men's golfer to claim a tournament title since 2013. At the Elon Phoenix Invitational, Wofford finished three strokes better than the second-place finisher. He tallied a three-round score of 199 (-14). He shot a 67 in round one and 66 in the second and third rounds. He led the field with 20 birdies in his three rounds.
 
In his opening round, Wofford shot a four-under 67 with eight birdies and six pars. In round two, he shot a five-under 66 in a bogey-free round with five birdies and 13 pars. In round three, he shot a 66 (-5) with seven birdies and nine pars.
 
This season, Wofford averages 71.1 strokes per round with six rounds in the 60s.  
 
The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement last November as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
