Kory Mincy Earns Big South Freshman of the Week Honors for the Second Straight Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Presbyterian Blue Hose guard Kory Mincy was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Mincy is the sixth player in the program's history to earn multiple Big South Freshman of the Week awards.
 
Mincy is the second Blue Hose player to earn a Big South weekly award this year after junior guard Marquis Barnett captured Big South Player of the Week honors on November 20.
 
PERFORMANCE LAST WEEK
For the week, he averaged 12 points while shooting 50 percent from the field (9-for-18). He averaged 4.5 assists, two steals, and two rebounds in the two games.

Mincy scored 11 points (shooting 4-for-5 from the field) with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in Presbyterian's win over Mid-Atlantic Christian on December 13.
 
In his first career start, he scored 13 points while dishing out seven assists with two steals against 2023 NCAA Tournament participant Kennesaw State on December 16. 

PLAY THIS SEASON
The East Point, Georgia native has tallied five double-digit scoring games this season including a season-high 13 points against Northwestern State on November 18 and Kennesaw State on December 16. Mincy averages 7.4 points while shooting 53 percent from the field and 46 percent from beyond the three-point arc this season.
