CLINTON, S.C. – The majority of the Presbyterian College lacrosse team's nonconference schedule may be outside the friendly confines of Bailey Memorial Stadium, however the next two dates on the docket for the Blue Hose will take place from said sanctuary, beginning on Sunday afternoon in the 2023 Clinton opener. Head coach
Eric Clakeley's squad will welcome the Terriers of Boston University for a noon start time, streamed live via ESPN+.
Serving as the first ever meeting between the two schools 48 hours from now, PC and Boston U both bring high levels of optimism with them to the early stages of the season, with the Blue Hose riding high from an 11-10 thriller over Delaware State on Wednesday. The visitors, meanwhile, roll into the weekend at 3-0 behind a high-octane offensive attack, in the midst of a five-game series of road meetings.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Producing a minimum of 14 goals scored in each of their three victories this year, including a season-best 20 against Stonehill on February 15, the Terriers have picked up their W's by an average margin of nearly nine points. - Fifth-year head coach Lauren Morton – a former All-American for the Terriers in 2008 – has given the program a direct 180 following a two-win stretch in 2022, needing only three more wins this semester to match the school's total over the last two campaigns. Only one of Boston U's outings has taken place outside their home venue, a 14-9 triumph against Iona in their last encounter on Feb. 18.
- The Terriers begin a tour through the Palmetto State on Friday before the visit to Bailey Memorial Stadium, firstly taking on Wofford this afternoon. They'll stay in SC after the joust with the Blue Hose this Tuesday for a duel against mutual opponent Coastal Carolina in Conway.
