CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Presbyterian College lacrosse team's 10-day respite will come to an end in just over 48 hours, visiting Xavier this Sunday for a start time of noon. PC's eight-match string of non-conference appearances will continue against a Musketeer foe that is in the midst of their second-ever campaign.
Still getting accustomed to the overhaul of new players – bringing in 13 new faces after graduating 10 last spring – head coach
Eric Clakeley's squad will aim for their first victory of the semester on the heels of a road defeat versus Kennesaw State over a week ago.
Xavier will line up their second consecutive contest against a Big South representative, downing Radford by seven goals last Saturday. The Blue Hose will look to atone for a 14-11 loss to the Musketeers at Bailey Memorial Stadium a full 365 days back.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Led by head coach Meg Decker, who guided Xavier to a 4-10 mark in their inaugural slate, the Musketeers embarked on a two-game excursion to Tempe during the season's first weekend where they took an 11-point loss to Arizona State and a 10-point decision at the hands of San Diego State.
- A much sharper rate of execution led Xavier to a 17-10 victory over Radford in their first feature at home, producing 12 first-half strikes that aided a six-point cushion at the halfway point.
- Reaching a lead as high as nine while going on two separate 4-0 scoring runs, the Musketeers kicked off a rare sequence of seven straight home encounters as they cruised past the Highlanders.
- Last season's duel between the two clubs trended to a very back-and-forth pace, as a 4-1 difference in the 3
rd period allowed Xavier just enough space to come back from an early 3-0 hole and 6-5 PC advantage midway through the 2
nd.
LAST TIME OUT
- Following a bit of a sluggish start in the Peach State back on the 15
th, Presbyterian outgunned Kennesaw State 12-11 in the final two periods (including a 6-4 edge in the 3
rd) although said beginning was ultimately the deciding factor as KSU won by 10.
- Fifth-year standout
Abby Edmisten kept on chugging with her total alignment of points (which is already a school record of 165), scoring three goals in a single affair for the 21
st time in her astounding tenure.
- In fact, Edmisten needs only three more successful swings to set another all-time Presby benchmark, closing in on Catherine Ellis' previous record of 135 goals (2011-14).
- Four other players from Clakeley's unit gathered two goals each –
Willow Hammond,
Kylie Sullivan,
Alyssa Perez, and
Kaylie Rittmueller – cashing in on four of their nine free-position attempts while seeing 21 on-target shots.
