Spring Break Trip Concludes with Meet at LIU

The Presbyterian College Blue Hose Acrobatics & Tumbling team finishes their spring break road trip to New York City at the LIU Sharks on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hose won the Team Event but Presbyterian fell to the No. 15 Iona Gaels, 262.710-247.860, on the road this past Sunday afternoon.
 
PRESBYTERIAN NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian's score of 262.210 in the win over King on March 5 was the highest in the program's history.
  • In the King meet in the Tumbling Event, freshman Kendra Henige set the program record with a score of 9.225 in the 6 Element Pass. Junior Abby Katz also set a program record with a score of 9.525 in the Open Pass. As a team, Presbyterian set program records with a score of 51.80 in the Tumbling Event and 93.31 in the Team Event.
  • The Blue Hose welcomed back nine letterwinners from last year's roster. Joining those returners are 14 talented newcomers on Presbyterian's 2024 roster.
  • Challenging Schedule – Presbyterian played Limestone (February 18) and Talladega (February 25) at home earlier this season. Presbyterian will play Morgan State (March 22), and Bluefield State (March 30) in the Templeton Center later this season. Last week, Presbyterian beat King (March 5) and faced Iona (March 10) on the road. After Thursday's meet at LIU, the Blue Hose have one more road meet at Saint Leo (April 11).
 
SCOUTING LIU
  • The Sharks are in their inaugural season. LIU has played Iona and Quinnipiac on the road and most recently a home meet against No. 1 Baylor.
  • LIU recorded a season-high score of 242.675 in their loss to Baylor on March 5.
 
ACROBATICS & TUMBLING MEET
A meet consists of six events: Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling, and Team Event. Teams compete in a predetermined rotation order throughout each event. Events are immediately scored by officials.
