CLINTON, S.C. – Junior setter Anna Baranski, a standout playmaker for the Presbyterian volleyball team, has been chosen as this week's Adidas/Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
LAST WEEK
Baranski showcased her leadership on the court, competing in all three matches and 10 sets for the Blue Hose last week. Over the stretch, she delivered an impressive 92 assists (9.20 assists per set) and 33 digs. Notably, she recorded two double-doubles, posting 37 assists and 16 digs against Furman, followed by 26 assists and 10 digs in a match against Valpo. Baranski also contributed seven kills and two blocks to her efforts.



ON THE YEAR
The Channahon, Illinois native has been a key player for the Blue Hose this season, already amassing 420 assists, placing her at the top of the Big South leaderboard. Her average of 7.50 assists per set ranks her third in the conference. Baranski's offensive contributions also include 47 kills and seven service aces. She earned All-Tournament team honors at both the LD&B Insurance Invitational and the Wofford Invitational, highlighting her consistency and effort.
 
On top of her stellar offensive performance, Baranski has registered 11 double-doubles this season, including an impressive streak of nine consecutive matches with double-digit digs and assists.
 
Baranski's versatility shines on the defensive end as well. She currently ranks sixth in the Big South with an average of 3.18 digs per set, and she leads the Blue Hose with 178 digs overall. Her presence at the net is also notable, adding 15 blocks to her season total, three of which were solo efforts.
 
GAME ONE
The Presbyterian College athletic department partnered with Game One on a multi-year apparel agreement in November 2022 as an official team dealer for Adidas. The partnership extended the university's alliance with Adidas which began in 2015 to outfit the Blue Hose athletic programs.
