ALBANY, N.Y. – Carving out a schedule that many wouldn't envy, the sixth-ranked Presbyterian College women's wrestling squad continues its penchant for high-level opponents this weekend by heading to New York on Saturday. They'll meet four straight top-20 schools in Albany, dubbed the "NYS Journeymen Duals".
The Blue Hose will begin this grueling stretch at 11:00 AM when squaring off with #15 Sacred Heart, a challenger who PC has already defeated this season (a 32-12 result nearly two weeks back).
From there, head coach
Brian Vutianitis will take his crew to a 1:30 affair against #19 Elmira and a 2:45 date versus 12
th-ranked Lock Haven.
Presby finishes Saturday's gauntlet with possibly their toughest test of the winter, a meeting with the top dog in the national poll, the Iowa Hawkeyes at 4:00. It'll be the second straight year that the Blue Hose takes on Iowa with the latter having the distinction of number one.
Certainly up to the task based on their 10 dual victories and boasting eight wrestlers with at least 15 wins, PC will have competed against 10 nationally-ranked opponents by the time tomorrow's quartet wraps up.
