Blue Hose Back On the Mat at Mars Hill Tuesday Evening

The Presbyterian College Blue Hose Acrobatics & Tumbling team returns to the mat with a road meet at Mars Hill on Tuesday evening.

PRESBYTERIAN NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian coach Kara Christian is in her third season at the helm of the Blue Hose program.
  • The Blue Hose welcomed back an experienced team returning 17 letterwinners from the 2024 roster. Joining those 17 returners are eight talented newcomers on Presbyterian's 2025 roster.
  • Presbyterian set several program records while winning the Compulsory, Acro, Toss, Tumbling, and Team events in their season-opening tri-meet victories over Bluefield State and Missouri State on February 9.
  • Presbyterian recorded a score of 239.775 in the tri-meet setting or tying school all-time record scores in the 7-Element Heat of the Acro Event (9.70), Inversion Pyramid Heat (9.70), Synchronized Toss Heat (8.80), and Open Toss Heat (9.30).
 
SCOUTING MARS HILL
  • The Lions scored a season-high 240.835 in their win over Newberry College last Thursday.
  • Mars Hill won all six events in the meet against Newberry.
  • Mars Hill has also topped Francis Marion and Converse on the road this season.
 
ACROBATICS & TUMBLING MEET
A meet consists of six events: Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling, and Team Event. Teams compete in a predetermined rotation order throughout each event. Events are immediately scored by three judges.
