MARS HILL, N.C.  – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-0) won the Compulsory, Pyramid, Toss, and Tumbling Events in a 244.005-241.885 win over the Mars Hill Lions (3-1) on the road on Tuesday evening.

"We are very happy after our win over Mars Hill tonight!" Presbyterian coach Kara Christian said.  "I am proud of the team and what they put on the floor. We have been working hard on our technique and executing our skills and I think that definitely showed tonight!"
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Blue Hose began the meet outscoring Mars Hill, 36.20-33.80, in the Compulsory Event. Presbyterian recorded a program record score of 9.85 in the Pyramid Heat.
• In the Acro Event, Mars Hill won the event, 26.15-25.45. The Blue Hose scored 9.40 in the 7-Element Heat.
• Presbyterian won the Pyramid Event by a score of 28.70-28.10. Presbyterian tied the program record with a score of 9.95 in the Open Heat.
• The Blue Hose topped the Lions, 25.75-24.50, in the Toss Event. PC scored 8.90 in the Open Heat.
• In the Tumbling Event, Presbyterian outscored Mars Hill, 49.825-49.025. The Blue Hose posted a score of 9.475 in the Open Pass.
• In the Team Event, Presbyterian scored 78.08 to Mars Hill's score of 80.31.

• In the Compulsory Event Pyramid Heat, the team of Carson DeRoss, Iveren Asom, Avery Michowski, Sofia Cipriani, Aisha Edmond, Brooklyn Holik, Adyson Stancil, Victoria Smith, Anna Ruiz, Abby Katz, Abigail Davidson, Jaleigh Richmond, and Dilara Michlena set the program's record with a score of 9.85.
• In the Open Pyramid Heat, the team of Victoria Smith, Grace Smith, Michlena, Stancil, Katz, and Ruiz tied the program record with a score of 9.95.
• In the Tumbling Event Duo Pass, Presbyterian's Katz and Mia Cantu tallied a score of 8.50. Katz posted a score of 9.475 in the Open Pass.
