CLINTON, S.C.  – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (2-0) set several program records while winning the Compulsory, Acro, Toss, Tumbling, and Team Events in season-opening wins over Bluefield State (1-1) and Missouri State (0-2) in a tri-meet in the Templeton Center on Sunday afternoon.
Presbyterian posted a score of 239.775. Bluefield State tallied a score of 152.350 and Missouri State in their first-ever meet recorded a score of 130.525. Â
"I'm proud of the team today," Presbyterian Coach
Kara Christian said. "It was a great start to the season. We were able to put new skills and higher start values out than we have in past years. We have been working hard on our execution and technique and I think that shows in a lot of the scores we posted today. We are excited to get back to work and continue improving as we move forward!"
HOW IT HAPPENED
* The Blue Hose scored 35.30 in the Compulsory Event. Presbyterian posted a high score of 9.65 in the Toss heat.
* Presbyterian recorded a score of 27.00 in the Acro Event with a program record score of 9.70 in the 7-Element heat.
* In the Pyramid Event, Presbyterian posted a score of 22.90 with a high of 9.80 in the Open Heat.
* In the Toss Event, the Blue Hose were awarded a score of 26.20 with a high of 9.30 in the Open Toss Heat.
* In the Tumbling Event, Presbyterian scored 45.925 with a high of 9.325 in the Open Pass and 9.275 in the 6-Element Pass.
* Presbyterian posted a score of 82.45 in the Team Event. Â Â
