ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (9-11, Big South: 1-1) recorded 14 hits, but they came up short with a 12-7 road setback at the Winthrop Eagles (10-10, Big South: 1-1) on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hose scored three runs in the first inning. A double down the right field line by Amman Dewberry scored Trey Fenderson with the game's first run. Dewberry and Jake Randolph would score the other two runs in the inning after a throwing error from Winthrop's catcher Chet Bowling.
- Winthrop cut PC's lead to 3-1 after scoring a run in the third inning.
- The Eagles took the lead for good with six runs on four hits in the fourth inning. Â
- Presbyterian cut Winthrop's lead to 7-5 after Andrew Albertus and Fenderson scored on a couple of Winthrop errors in the fifth inning.
- Winthrop plated their eighth run of the game on a couple of hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- In the sixth inning, Fenderson's double down the left field line scored Eli Lazio with the first run of the inning. Then, a single by Dewberry scored Fenderson with Presbyterian's seventh run,
- Winthrop scored the game's final four runs in the seventh inning.
