CORALVILLE, Iowa – The Presbyterian College women's wrestling team finished off a marvelous 2025 season on Saturday night with eight of their 14 qualifiers advancing to the top 12 of the NCWWC National Championships. When the dust cleared, PC garnered a school-record six All-Americans and a sixth-place team ranking (the program's highest in history).

After claiming the Southeast Region title for the first time two weeks ago, the Blue Hose sent three wrestlers to the National Semifinals in Iowa and found their highest-ranking placer in true freshman Carina Giangeruso who nabbed 4^th.

Regional Coach of the Year Brian Vutianitis has directed his squad to a school record in three consecutive seasons at this tournament (which encompassed 61 other institutions), climbing from 9^th place in 2023 to 8^th in 2024 and now a 6^th-place finish on the grandest stage this year.

AMONG THE COUNTRY'S ELITE
 
- Of PC's six All-Americans, two of them received that distinction for the second time in their career. Kubicki is the first Blue Hose in the Vutianitis era to win All-America status in back-to-back seasons, while Wehrmeister gets the honor for the second time in three years after sitting out last March due to injury.

- Three Presbyterian grapplers gained an All-America accolade as freshmen on Saturday (Aiono, Cuyler, and Giangeruso), meaning that seven total PC athletes have earned All-America plaudits as rookies since 2023.

- Going the furthest of the 14 qualifiers that made it to Coralville, Giangeruso concludes her debut year in a Blue Hose singlet with an individual record of 33-5.

- Coach Vutianitis' program continues its ranking among the country's best, steadily rising up the ladder with each year and has been rewarded with its highest team finish at Nationals that they've ever witnessed.
