SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- The Runnin' Bulldogs are in rebuild mode after going 0-17 last spring, able to end that long losing streak on March 29 versus Longwood but still with just that one victory altogether.
- G-W has been held to single digits in the scoring department all but once in their 12 outings (the one exception was the 14-12 win against the Lancers), falling in their last two by a combined margin of 32 points.
- They've been able to muster a total of six goals in back-to-back losses to High Point and Mercer, allowing 194 scores at this point on the year.
LAST TIME OUT
- Presbyterian looks to shake off the cobwebs from a 21-4 defeat at Mercer's hands earlier this week, succumbing to an 11-0 mid-match run as the Bears secured their 28
th consecutive Big South triumph.
- PC's first conference win of the semester came at Radford nearly two weeks back in a 13-12 thriller, hoping to repeat the results of last season's W over Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs.
- In that duel, the Blue Hose outgunned G-W 12-4 and were led by then-senior
Kylie Sullivan who produced six goals on six shots. That was the first time since 2012 that a PC player scored six times in a single match without missing once.
- Coach Clakeley's unit will be searching for their first win over the Runnin' Bulldogs at home since 2015. Webb's last visit to Clinton in 2023 ended in a one-score decision, a match where the final goal was submitted with 1:57 on the clock.
