Presbyterian Finished Spring Season Setting Two School Records and Nine Personal Records at LR Open

HICKORY, N.C. – Junior Isabel Whitman set a school record in the 1500 meters while the Presbyterian Blue Hose cross country teams set nine personal records to close out the spring track season at the LR Open at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Women's Team

Whitman set the school record with a time of 5:02.83 in the 1500 meters. Abby Donaldson and Savannah Watson PRed in the 1500m with times of 5:18.13 and 5:51.41, respectively.
Caroline Rairigh ran a season best in the 1500 with 5:30.82.
Habana Rubio another school record with a tome of 13.17 in the 100m prelims. She qualified for the finals where she ran a 13.25 and finished fourth overall.
Serena Burch also PRed in the 100 with a time of 14.15.
Whitman, Rairigh, and Donaldson finished third, fourth, and fifth overall in the 800. Donaldson set a PR in the 800 for the fourth time this year with a 2:37.17.
Rairigh and Eliana Watson ran season best times in the 800m with a 2:36.86 and 2:48.28, respectively.
Rubio ran the 200m for the first time, setting a school record of 28.13, finishing ninth overall.

Men's Team

David Harner finished seventh overall with a massive 1500m with a PR of 4:16.63.
Gabe Butler finished his 400m career eighth overall at the meet with a time of 51.90.
Nizeyimana Aristide PRed his 400m, breaking the 53 seconds plateau with a time of 52.93.
Ethan Trombly ran a season best 400m with a time of 59.03.
Gavin Guyton became the second Division I era PC runner to break two minutes in the 800m with a time of 1:59 to finish second.
