CLINTON, S.C. – After clinching the series with a game two win on Saturday, the Presbyterian College baseball team (16-17, Big South: 8-4) fell to the Longwood Lancers (9-23, Big South: 4-5) by a score of 8-4 on Sunday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Longwood jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the top of the first inning.
- Presbyterian responded in the bottom half, as Jake Randolph delivered an RBI single to bring home Aaron Hobson from second base.
- After a scoreless second, the Lancers added another run in the third to extend their lead to 3-1.
- Both teams went quiet through the fourth and fifth innings before Longwood pushed across two more runs in the top of the sixth, making it a 5-1 game.
- The Blue Hose rallied in the seventh, cutting the deficit to 5-4 thanks to an RBI from Brody Linker and an RBI single by Hobson.
- However, the Lancers pulled away in the eighth with a three-run frame to take an 8-4 lead.
- Despite a solid outing from JJ Harrell in the ninth, Presbyterian was unable to mount a comeback as Longwood secured the win and avoided the series sweep.
