ATHENS, Ga. – The Presbyterian College baseball team (16-18, Big South: 8-4) dropped a 16-2 decision in seven innings to the #7 Georgia Bulldogs (30-5, SEC: 8-4) on Tuesday evening at Foley Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Presbyterian got off to a strong start as Aaron Hobson led off the game with a single to center field. Trey Fenderson followed with a double down the left field line, pushing Hobson to third. Jake Randolph then brought in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly to give PC an early 1-0 advantage.
- Georgia responded in the bottom half of the first with a lead-off home run by Ryan Black to even the score.
- The Bulldogs added two more runs on four hits in the second inning to move ahead 3-1.
- A PC error in the third led to an unearned run for Georgia, extending the lead to 4-1.
- In the fourth, UGA's Ryland Zaborowski connected on a solo home run to make it 5-1 in favor of the home team.
- Georgia broke the game open in the fifth inning, plating nine runs highlighted by a grand slam from Kolby Branch, pushing the lead to 14-1.
- The Bulldogs added two more runs in the sixth inning to bump their lead to 16-1.
- Presbyterian loaded the bases in the top of the seventh before Rhogue Wallace's RBI sent Ryan Ouzts across home plate.
- Â Despite Presbyterian's late efforts, Georgia secured a 16-2 run-rule victory after seven innings.

- Fenderson notched two doubles in the contest, bringing his season total to a team-best 10. It marked his 12th multi-hit game of the season, and he has now reached base in 11 consecutive games.
- Brody Linker tallied his fifth double of the year with a two-base hit in the second inning.
- Ouzts recorded his seventh double of the season in the fourth inning. He extended his hitting streak to eight games and has now reached base safely in 14 straight outings.
