CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team returns home from a three-week hiatus on Saturday night, starting an eight-game Big South stretch versus the Radford Highlanders at 7:00 PM.
All non-conference matches have been completed for head coach
Matt Smith's group, going 3-4-1 at this point on the season. PC will reset for Radford tomorrow as they begin a push to qualify for the Big South tournament for the second straight year.
This was the last regular season league game in 2024, but will now be the first conference clash this time around. Radford has won the last four meetings with Presby, including a 3-0 result at Martin Stadium 11 months ago.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
- It's been a mixed bag for Radford heading into division play, the 30th season for head coach Ben Sohrabi who has claimed nine Big South Tournament Championships.
- Of the Highlanders' three wins, just one has occurred over a fellow NCAA Division I opponent (2-1 against Morehead State back on September 7). In that game, Radford's Abby Walsh scored the winning goal in the 73
rd minute.
- Nine full days will have passed by the time PC duels the Highlanders this weekend, as Radford was on the losing end of a 4-2 decision at ETSU in their most recent appearance. All six combined goals came in the second half during that sprint in Tennessee.
- A nine-win club last year, Radford's quest for a three-peat of Big South titles was thwarted in the 2024 semifinals by High Point. The Highlanders took a 2-1 lead in the final minute of regulation, only for HPU to answer 14 seconds later and eventually turn the golden goal four minutes into overtime.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose came up short in their last attempt at College of Charleston on Sunday, conceding two goals in the 40
th and 67
th minutes. That makes them 1-2 in road contests thus far.
-
Lindsey Malyszek leads the way for the Scotsmen in the goals category (three), one of five PC players named on Thursday's midseason Big South Watch List along with
Sloan Spees,
Ella Williams,
Cassidy Oldham, and
Allie Williams.
- Spees requires just one more goal to become Presbyterian's new D-I record-holder, currently sitting with 16 career scores. Her next strike will topple the previous record by Sara Simpson that has stood for the past 12 years.
- Five different PC players have penned at least one goal this year, while
Allie Williams' three assists are the second-most of any individual in the conference.
