SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team has arrived at the final stop on their four-game series of road matches, making an afternoon trip to Wofford on Sunday for a 2:00 start.

ESPN+ will be streaming PC's second consecutive bout against an opponent from the Southern Conference, looking to bounce back after a hard-fought loss at Furman on Thursday night.

Head coach Matt Smith has faced off with the Terriers in both of his full seasons at Presby, including a 3-2 thriller in 2024 and a 3-1 setback at Martin Stadium last fall.

The Blue Hose have defeated their South Carolina rival in three of their last five attempts, with Smith owning 36 career victories as a head coach over schools from the Palmetto State.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS

 
- Trying to break through into the upper echelon of the SoCon, Wofford has been eliminated in the league tournament quarterfinals in each of the past four seasons.

- Top-seed Samford dealt the Terriers a 2-0 loss in the 2025 postseason, ending the first campaign for head coach Kevin Dempsey who had served the previous nine years at Loyola (Maryland) as an assistant.

- Wofford was last seen in a two-point loss to USC Upstate on the same night that Presbyterian fell to Furman, managing to out-shoot the Spartans 11-8 but giving up two goals in the first 55 minutes and another in the 76^th.

- Before the Upstate loss, Wofford churned out two straight clean sheets against Gardner-Webb and South Carolina State (4-0 combined). Five different Terriers have scored a goal this year, including two apiece by Annie Andrews and Bella Drummond.

- Freshman keeper Chloe Cundiff earned a draw in the season-opener versus UNC Asheville, although the starting job has since gone to Elizabeth Navola who has played the full 90 in three straight matches.


 
LAST TIME OUT

 
- A relatively quiet offensive day for both teams in Greenville, PC succumbed to the Paladins in the 78^th minute which was the only goal of the contest.

- Competing well against one of the SoCon's most consistent programs, the Blue Hose were able to keep it nil-nil for most of the night thanks to another solid showing by the back line of Lyla Chadd, Sydney Stoner, Cassidy Oldham, and Peyton Michael.

- After coming up with a scoreless tie in the previous match at North Dakota State, the Scotsmen gave up their first goal in 175 minutes to come up just shy at Furman.

- Rookie netminder Alexa Garcia leads all players in the Big South with an 0.80 goals-against average. She has saved 83 percent of on-target shots in her five matches so far, also the best in the conference.

- Sophomore Maddie Smith remains PC's leader in total points with six, while Emilia Lieber, Katy Verdery, and Julija Poplašen have also scored once in the first three-and-a-half weeks of the season.
