ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With just two dates left on the Presbyterian College women's soccer non-conference schedule, the Blue Hose will take an eight-hour drive to battle Navy on Sunday afternoon. The action in Annapolis will begin at one o'clock, streamed live on ESPN+.
PC picked up their third win of the year on Thursday (a 1-0 difference over Alabama A&M), as senior
Sloan Spees sent in her sixth all-time game-winner in the 62
nd minute.
On the same night where she and Presby's eight other seniors were recognized in a postgame ceremony, Spees now needs only one more goal to become the Blue Hose career leader in the Division I era (2007 onward).
Sunday will be the first time ever that PC has traveled to Navy, with the Midshipmen visiting Clinton on two past occasions. The two sides waged a 2-2 tie back in 2010, while Navy won the last meeting two years ago by a 3-1 tally.

SCOUTING NAVY
- A member of the Patriot League in women's soccer, the Midshipmen began the '25 season on a tear by shutting out their first three opponents. They downed Robert Morris, Temple, and Wofford by a combined clip of 6-0, playing 323 combined minutes before they surrendered their first goal of the year.
- However, the Mids have lost three of their last five bouts since that 3-0 start, dropping a 2-1 decision to VCU on the same night that Presbyterian outlasted Alabama A&M.
- Navy's only home loss in four appearances was a 1-0 setback to Delaware, as Virginia Commonwealth took the W in Richmond. The Midshipmen struck first in the 51
st minute, although VCU would win the match at the 84:14 stamp.
- Head coach Carin Gabarra is tied with Texas A&M's G. Guerrieri as the third-longest-tenured active Division I women's soccer coach. She is in her 33
rd season at Navy, spanning all the way back to 1993.
LAST TIME OUT
- Spees prevented PC's previous affair from ending in a draw by submitting her 16
th career goal with 28 minutes to go. Her next score would put her above Sara Simpson (2010-13) as the new record-holder in that category over the D-I timeline.
- Sophomore
Gracie Moulton made her first career start at keeper, as did true freshman defenseman
Jaida Savoie. They contributed to a terrific defensive effort by the Blue Hose, who limited Alabama A&M to only two shots-on-goal.
- Presbyterian honored Spees,
Hannah Austin,
Abby Ferris,
Lindsey Malyszek, Lina Müller,
Lauren Clark,
Ella Williams,
Isabel Lasota, and
Isabel Manders-Lamcken in a postgame ceremony for their four-year dedication to PC.
- That bunch helped the Blue Hose reach the semifinal round of the Big South Tournament for the first time ever last fall, currently one of three teams in the division with at least three wins (along with UNC Asheville and Longwood).
