CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (2-5) had the bases loaded, down two in the bottom of the ninth inning against Northern Illinois, but was unable to capitalize, falling to the Huskies 3-1 at the PC Baseball Complex on Saturday evening (Feb. 21).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both starting pitchers had their way throughout the game against both offenses. However, the Huskies struck first in the top of the first on an RBI groundout.
- The Blue Hose bounced back in the bottom of the second, scoring on a wild pitch from Cihocki.
- The score stayed knotted up one until the Huskies retook the lead on back-to-back base hits.
- Neither team would score again until the top of the eighth. The Huskies added an insurance run on an RBI single to grab a 3-1 lead heading into the final inning.
- The Blue Hose had their chances in the bottom of the ninth inning. Matthew Rollison and Bo Moody reached base in back-to-back at-bats from a hit-by-pitch. Presbyterian had the bases loaded with two outs down two but struck out to end the game.

NOTABLESÂ
- Amman Dewberry had another productive day at the plate, recording two of PC's four hits. He went 2-for-4 and logged his fifth multi-hit game of the season.
- Andrew Albertus posted his first hit of the season. Brody Linker also recorded a hit for the Blue Hose.
- Christian Charalambous had a strong day on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings of two-run ball. Bauer Burkart came in after from the bullpen, pitching 3.2 innings. He allowed just two hits. Braiden Eagen threw a scoreless ninth inning.
