BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (2-16) played its fifth and final regular season game of the year in the state of Florida on Wednesday afternoon (March 11), suffering a 7-2 defeat to Florida Atlantic at FAU Baseball Stadium.

The Blue Hose got on the board in the top of the first to start the game, but the Owls countered with seven unanswered runs from innings two through six to grab a 7-2 victory over PC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- James Green led off the game with a single and quickly advanced to second base on a wild pitch. Bo Moody bunted Green over to third before a Caden Mason infield single brought him home to give the Blue Hose an early 1-0 lead.
- The Blue Hose held the Owls scoreless in the first before Florida Atlantic got going in the second inning. The first two hitters reached base for the Owls and came around to score, allowing FAU to go up 2-1.
- Florida Atlantic grew its lead to three in the fourth inning, starting the frame with a hit by pitch. An RBI double followed by another base knock extended the Owl lead to 4-1.
- The fourth inning was the first of three straight innings where the Owls would put up runs on the board. FAU added an insurance run in the fifth before connecting on a two-run long ball in the sixth to grab a 7-1 advantage in Boca Raton.
- Presbyterian continued to get base hits and get runners aboard but did not score again until the eighth inning. Amman Dewberry doubled to right center and came around on an RBI single from Emory Guilford. The next inning, the Owls finished the game off, coming away with a 7-2 win.Â

NOTABLESÂ
- James Green led the Blue Hose offense, staying hot to go 3-for-5 with a run scored. This is his first three-hit game in a PC uniform. He has now recorded a hit in nine of his last 11 games.
- Caden Mason also had a productive day at the plate, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances. He went 2-for-2 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch. He has caught fire offensively as of late, recording two hits in a game for the second time in three contests.
- Amman Dewberry doubled in the eighth inning to extend his hit-streak to five games.
- Nick Smith logged his first of the season, tripling in the ninth inning (his first career triple).
- Tristian McGregor started on the mound for Presbyterian, pitching a scoreless first inning. Five Blue Hose players pitched in total.
- Mason McDaniel made his longest outing of the season out of the bullpen, pitching 2.1 innings of one-hit ball.Â
