HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (4-20, 2-3 Big South) suffered an 8-5 road defeat to High Point on Saturday afternoon (March 21) in the second game of the three-game Big South series at Williard Stadium.

The Blue Hose jumped on the Panthers with two runs in the first, but High Point weathered the storm, scoring 8 runs on 12 hits for the afternoon to come away with the three-run win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Presbyterian's offense got going right away in the top of the first, scoring two runs on three hits. Matthew Rollison singled home Bo Moody to start the scoring, singling up the middle. Caden Mason followed with a single to left field, bringing home Amman Dewberry to put PC up 2-0.
- High Point answered with two runs of its own in the bottom half of the frame, tying the game with three hits.
- The Panthers tagged Christian Charalambous again in the third, taking a one-run lead on a single through the left side.
- The Blue Hose responded in their next chance to bat in the top of the fourth. Brody Linker doubled to start the inning and came around to score on a double down the right field line from James Green.
- However, once again High Point had the answer in the bottom of the fourth. A double by the Panthers scored two runs to retake the lead.
- The Panthers extended the lead in the fifth, bringing home two more runs to separate from the Blue Hose.
- PC got a run back on a Moody double to right center in the sixth, but High Point got the run right back in the bottom of the inning.
- Amman Dewberry crushed a home run to right field in the ninth, but High Point finished off the game with an 8-5 win.

NOTABLESÂ
- The Blue Hose totaled 13 hits offensively for the day. Five different Blue Hose players posted two hits.
- Amman Dewberry left the yard in the ninth inning for his fourth home run of the season.
- Brody Linker recorded his first multi-hit game of the year, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
- James Green doubled twice for the second time this season. He has reached base in 11 straight games for PC.
- Emory Guilford extended his hit streak to five games, posting two hits.
- Christian Charamabous got the start on the mound. Robbie Boykin and Tucker Meredith entered the game in relief. Out of the bullpen, Meredith threw two scoreless  innings, allowing just one hit.
