BOONE, N.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (2-14) dropped its series finale on Sunday afternoon (March 8) to Appalachian State 13-4 at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.

The Blue Hose scored two runs in the top of the first inning to jump out to a lead, but nine unanswered runs in the first two innings buoyed the Mountaineers to a nine-run victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- James Green led off with a bunt single to get the Blue Hose offense started in the top of the first. Bo Moody came through with an RBI double right after to get PC on the board first. Two batters later, Amman Dewberry singled home Moody to give Presbyterian a 2-0 advantage to open proceedings in Boone.
- The Mountaineers quickly responded in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs on four hits to answer back and take the lead.
- Appalachian State separated from the Blue Hose in the second inning, rushing out to a 9-2 lead behind six runs on three hits.
- The Blue Hose struck back in the fifth inning, scoring two runs. Green scored off a double steal, while Moody came around later in the inning on an error.
- App State continued to produce offensively, scoring four runs across its next three chances to bat to extend the lead to 13-4. No more runs came across the rest of the game, as the Mountaineers went on to finish the series with a 13-4 victory.

NOTABLESÂ
- Bo Moody reached base in all four of his plate appearances on Sunday, going 2-for-2 with two walks. He scored two runs and recorded an RBI double. Moody has reached base in all but one game this season for PC.
- James Green scored the other run of the afternoon for PC. He finished 1-for-2 at the plate to go along with a walk.
- Amman Dewberry posted his 21st RBI of the year in the first inning on a single.
- Mikey Marroquin Jr. got the start on the mound, making his first start of the season and the fourth of his career.
- JJ Harrell, Robbie Boykin, and Jonathan Williams also pitched for the Blue Hose.
