SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College lacrosse program is entering the final stretch of the 2026 campaign with only three games still ahead, returning from a week-long break tomorrow against the Wofford Terriers. Opening draw is scheduled for 1:00 on ESPN+.
All thoughts are on qualifying for the Big South Tournament near the end of the month, with PC currently tied for seventh place in the latest league standings.
After taking down Gardner-Webb in double overtime for their first conference victory, the Blue Hose were unable to make it two in a row versus Longwood and took a 10-7 setback in their most recent showing.
Head coach
Eric Clakeley's unit is 3-5 all-time against Wofford, falling short against their South Carolina rivals last spring by a 15-9 count at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
- Advancing to the Big South semifinals last year thanks to an opening-round shootout over Winthrop (20-19), Wofford looks to have already clinched their postseason spot by winning four of their five league encounters so far.
- Fourth-year head coach Jessie Aguglia has assembled a roster that ranks second in the conference with an average of nearly 13 goals per game, trailing only the four-time defending Big South champion Mercer.
- The Terriers entered the league schedule with a mere 2-7 record, but have since turned the corner with a couple of tight wins at Furman by four and Winthrop by one in overtime.
- Kaitlyn Bellanca scored the sudden-death game-winner in Rock Hill just 57 seconds into the OT period, mirroring PC's own road heroics against Gardner-Webb from
Emily Currie.
- Sophomore Katie Brosseau holds the second-most assists of any Big South player (24), as Wofford's high-powered offense includes four individuals with at least 20 goals.
LAST TIME OUT
- Currie obtained her ninth multi-goal performance of the season in last weekend's Longwood loss, a contest where Presby never could wrestle away the lead and was blanked over the final eight minutes.
- It was Senior Day for the Blue Hose, who recognized a special group of five that have contributed a great deal to the university (
Kayleigh Aitken,
Brooklyn Shepard-Wheelon,
Alyssa Perez,
Avery West, and
Olivia Ballard).
- Presbyterian ranks second in the conference with almost 45 percent of their shots resulting in a goal. The only Big South institution with a higher number (albeit slightly), is in fact Wofford.
- West will be a PC player to watch on Saturday, one of just three players in the league to have at least 30 caused turnovers. The two-time All-Conference pick registered two career-highs against the Terriers last year, going for eight ground balls and seven takeaways.
- Although missing the last three matchups due to injury, Perez is one of only three Big South players who have scored at least once in every game that they have appeared in.
