CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College softball team has gone two-for-one in back-to-back weeks, as senior
Peyton Duncan and rookie
Hali Duke were awarded the Big South Pitcher and Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon.
This announcement comes just seven days after Duke and
Ava Coggins won Big South Player and Freshman of the Week respectively, confirming the first time in program history that PC has won four combined individual accolades in the span of two weeks.
Following a series victory over Charleston Southern that positions them one step closer to a postseason return, the Blue Hose have now won seven weekly awards from the conference this season. That trails only the 2022 campaign for the most since they made the jump to Division I in the late 2000's.
Duke in particular has been a Big South darling this spring, claiming her fourth weekly award as a freshman. That is more than any other player in the conference, regardless of class.
Presbyterian is preparing for their last midweeker of 2026 tomorrow, crossing into Clemson for a 6:00 start versus the school who took home the ACC Tournament Championship 12 months back.

- Duncan has logged over 425 innings since first donning the Blue Hose jersey in 2023, resulting in 32 victories and a career ERA of 4.05.
- She was also voted as the Big South Pitcher of the Week after the first four games of the year, becoming the first PC player since 2021 to win this specific award twice in a single semester.
