FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose are in second place after round one of the Big South Championship at the Ocean Island Golf Club in Fripp Island, South Carolina, on Sunday afternoon.
Presbyterian posted a first-round score of 281 (-2) for second place after day one. USC Upstate is currently leading the tournament with a score of 281 (-3). Freshman
James Rhodes is tied for fifth place after shooting an opening round 69 (-2).
NOTABLES
- Rhodes recorded five birdies and 10 pars on his opening round of 69.
- Junior Spence Hagood and sophomore Jeep Patrick are tied for eighth place after each shot an opening-round 70 (-1). Hagood had three birdies and 13 pars on his round. Patrick recorded five birdies and 10 pars on his round.
- Sophomore Richard Anaclerio is tied for 24th place after shooting an opening round 73 (+2). He had three birdies and 11 pars on his round.
- Sophomore Gage Gaskins recorded an opening-round 78 (+7), with 13 pars.
