BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Big South Conference grind continues for the Presbyterian College lacrosse team tomorrow, making a one-hour drive to Gardner-Webb for a 7:00 start on ESPN+.
With five games still left on the 2026 calendar, PC hopes to gain some leverage in the league standings and pick up their first divisional win of the semester. They dropped a narrow 13-10 decision to Radford over the weekend.
The Blue Hose have gone up against the Runnin' Bulldogs every year since 2015, with Presby winning the last matchup in Boiling Springs by a 12-4 count two seasons ago.
Wednesday will be an important sequence for both parties, as G-W recently acquired their first Big South win of the campaign versus Winthrop in Rock Hill (15-12).

SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
- Securing seven first-quarter goals and holding on late to take down Winthrop, the Runnin' Bulldogs found their first victory after promoting interim head coach Chris Harris to the permanent role over the summer.
- Prior to that contest, Gardner-Webb had yet to pick up a win in 10 tries. That included an 18-7 setback versus Wofford and a couple of one-point losses to Austin Peay and Sacred Heart.
- G-W dominated in draw controls to edge out the Eagles (21-8) and was led by freshman Addi Cook's four goals. Keeper Emma Anderson was also instrumental in the close win by nabbing 13 saves.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs advanced to the Big South Tournament last spring, partially off of an 8-5 win against PC at Bailey Memorial Stadium. They have managed to defeat the Scotsmen in seven of their last eight attempts.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose dropped to 0-3 in conference meetings with the slim loss to Radford on the eve of Easter, unable to climb all the way back from a 5-1 deficit in the first quarter.
- Senior
Kayleigh Aitken assembled her second-most saves in a single game over her entire college career (14), although PC turned it over 30 times which kept constant pressure on the defense.
- Striker
Alyssa Perez (who has scored in every game that she has appeared in) was unable to suit up due to injury, leaving
Emily Currie to post a five-point effort (four goals, one assist).
- Presbyterian still leads the league in overall shot percentage (.486).
Avery West's 26 total caused turnovers rank third in the Big South.
