Biography

2025: Never missed a start during his first year with the Blue Hose, ranking second on the roster with 74 tackles as Presby smashed numerous program records...Given an All-PFL Honorable Mention nod thanks to seven tackles-for-a-loss (third on the club), three sacks, two forced fumbles, and one defensive touchdown...PC's defense surrendered only 16 points per game - the third-smallest number nationwide - while eventually winning 10 games for the third time in history...Torres managed at least seven stops on eight different dates, including a season-high 11 tackles in the finale against Marist to help the Scotsmen go undefeated at home for the first time this century...Had two TFL's versus three separate opponents, the first coming against Furman in a 21-point overtime comeback to help his squad begin the season 7-0 and reach as high as #16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll...Caused and recovered a fumble in the league opener, a 41-0 Morehead State mauling which was the program's first shutout in a conference game since 2006...Combined for 32 tackles in his first four PFL encounters, later going for 10 stops at Dayton...Returned a fumble 22 yards into the end zone against Valparaiso, becoming the 10th Presbyterian player since the jump to Division-I with a scoop & score...Over the final three games of the year, he stacked up 5 tackles-for-a-loss, three sacks, a turnover, and 26 total stops...PC allowed the second-least total yards per game of any team in America and gave up a successful third-down conversion only 30 percent of the time which also ranked #2 nationally.

Prior to PC: Originally a two-time All-Conference pick and two-time State placer in the sport of wrestling, Torres signs with Presby after a two-year stint at the University of Saint Francis, an NAIA institution in his home state of Illinois...The Fighting Saints registered 14 wins with Torres on the roster, all while he qualified for the MSFA All-Academic team and Dean's List both years...Posted 46 tackles (four behind the line of scrimmage)...Graduated from Evergreen Park Community High School near Chicago.
