Biography

2025: Saved his best for last as PC boasted one of the best defenses in America and ultimately won 10 games for the third time in history, playing in all 12 and finding a career-best 27 tackles...Ranked second on the roster with four sacks (three of them occurring against Pioneer League opponents)...His first sack of the year was a monster one on third down, giving his team crucial field position in the final minutes of a season-opening upset against #11 Mercer, stopping a 35-game PFL losing streak versus non-conference top-25 opponents...Charted a season-best six stops in a clutch road W over Butler, helping the Scotsmen start 7-0 and reach as high as #16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll...Became the sixth PC player of the decade to force two fumbles in a single campaign, jarring the ball loose in league victories over Valparaiso and St. Thomas while also having a sack in both of those encounters...Epps featured heavily on a defense that gave up the fewest first downs in NCAA, ranking second nationally in fewest total yards allowed per game (272) and third nationally in points per game against (16)...PC had the 13th-most TFL's and 15th-most sacks of any team in the country...Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

2024: Rose up the ranks considerably as a junior, participating in all 12 games and gathering 19 total tackles...Posted 4.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage (the fourth-most on the roster) which amounted to a total loss of 19 yards...Went for 2.5 sacks overall, the last of which came in a dramatic 30-27 triumph over #23 Butler in the season finale (the program's first win over a nationally-ranked opponent in a full decade)...His first sack of the semester was an eight-yard backup against eventual SoCon champion Mercer in the season-opener...Notched seven combined tackles in the first two PFL encounters at Davidson and San Diego, going on to scatter seven more stops throughout a season-ending four-game winning streak (PC's longest such streak since 2007).

2023: Recorded his first career sack in a 31-point drubbing over Virginia-Lynchburg (9/9), backing up the Dragons for three yards...Checked into the game during the 2023 finale, a 31-27 win over Morehead State at Bailey Memorial Stadium (11/18).

2022: Played in two games as a true freshman, recording one tackle each against St. Thomas (10/22) and Dayton (11/5) in PC's final home meeting of the year.

PRIOR TO PC: He was an AAAA All-Region First Team at Myrtle Beach High School... also was a member of the school's lacrosse and wrestling teams... he intends to major in business administration...
