Newberry Takes Fourth Win In Row From P.C., 30 To 22.

Newberry, Feb. 22 (AP) - The Newberry Indians closed their 1929 basketball season here tonight by defeating Presbyterian College by a score of 30 to 22. The Indians won on a dramatic comeback in the second half. The Presbyterian took the jump in scoring and were leading 16 to 10 at the end of the half. The Indians hit their stride in the second period and were able to pile up 15 points to take the lead 25 to 16 before P.C. could score. From then on the Lutherans outdistanced their foes.

The work of Whitaker, Kinard and Rushe, playing their last game for Newberry was outstanding. M. and W. Adair were the Presbyterian stars.

The victory tonight was the fourth straight win of the week for Newberry.
