CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian Blue Hose head men's basketball coach
Quinton Ferrell announced the signing of Lincoln Memorial University transfer EJ Smith, a 6-foot-2 guard from Memphis, Tennessee. Smith was a 2025 South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman team selection who helped LMU make consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
"We are very excited about signing EJ Smith!" Ferrell said. "EJ is coming off two great seasons at Lincoln Memorial. EJ is an athletic guard who can score and play make at a high level. He is a three-level scorer who can break down the defense off the bounce. He will fit well in our system on both ends of the court. EJ is a high-character young man who has also excelled academically. He has a tremendous work ethic and a great pedigree as a basketball player coming from Memphis, Tennessee. His father, EJ Smith Sr., was a standout player at Memphis in the early 90s and helped lead Memphis to an Elite Eight appearance. We look forward to welcoming EJ and his entire family into our Blue Hose family!"
