Newberry, Jan. 29 (AP) - Newberry College's Indians showed power and drive here tonight, defeating their old rival Presbyterian College, 47 to 38, in a basketball game. Newberry came from behind early in the game and was never headed.

Cappola, Newberry forward, was top scorer with 16 points.
