Clinton, Jan. 30 (AP) - Newberry downed the Presbyterian basketball team, 50 to 35 here tonight by outscoring the Blue Hose by 23 points in the second half.

Norton tallied 28 of the Indian's points on 14 field goals. It ran the slender forward's total for the last four games to 88.

Newberry's entire scoring came from scrimmage, the Indians missing all seven of their free throws.
