TIGERVILLE, SC - North Greenville pushed Presbyterian College 
into an extra period in front of a packed Hayes Gymnasium, but the 
Blue Hose eventually pulled out a 74-65 overtime victory in men's basketball action Saturday night. Tray Ballenger led Presbyterian 15 points on 6-13 shooting and nine rebounds. P.J. Schumacher and Victor Duck each scored 13 for the Crusaders.

North Greenville stayed within four points or less through the first 
fifteen minutes of the ballgame before taking the lead with a 10-3 
run capped by a Duck layup with 3:54 remaining in the first half. 
The two teams would exchange the lead a few times over the next 
several minutes and the Blue Hose took a 37-36 lead into the locker 
room at halftime. Presbyterian's first half offense was fueled by 
Drew Biggs who hit four three-pointers, while the Crusaders utilized 
a balanced offensive attack.

In the second half, Presbyterian jumped out to an early nine point 
lead after an 8-0 run in the first three minutes. North Greenville 
clawed their way back into the game, cutting the lead to one on a 
Duck layup three minutes later. The Blue Hose went on a 10-4 run to 
gain a seven-point lead with just over nine minutes to play. Again, 
North Greenville refused to back down and go away. Over the next 
three and a half minutes, the Crusaders outscored Presbyterian 10-1 
and took the lead on Josh Burgess layup with 6:12 remaining in the game.

Bryan Bostic hit a three-pointer for the Blue Hose with 4:06 left to 
play to tie the game. Each team would score once more and regulation 
ended with a 63-63 tie.

In the overtime period, Presbyterian had a
little more gas than North Greenville. The Blue Hose scored 11 
points to North Greenville's two and won the ballgame 74-65.

Each team used a balanced offensive attack with five players scoring 
in double-figures for each squad. North Greenville falls to 1-5, 
while Presbyterian improves to 9-1.

PC will be back in action Wednesday, December 14 as they host USC-Upstate in an 8 pm contest.
