CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men's tennis team lost a 7-0
contest to Radford Saturday afternoon at the PC Tennis Complex.
The Blue Hose now stand at 5-14 overall and 0-4 in Big South play.
Third-seeded Edward Snead and James Zaher lost an 8-3 battle to Paul Boslet and
Erik Finkenbrink in doubles play. Andrew Brigham and Matthew Martin, playing at
the top spot, lost 8-2 to Ivan Salec and Thomas Dehaen.
Zachary Sprouse and Ivan Ho, playing as the No. 2 tandem, dropped an 8-2
decision to Zack Watson and Igor Ogrizek.
In singles play, PC pushed Radford to three sets in two matches, but was unable
to pull off a victory in either.
Martin battled Dehaen at the No. 2 slot. Dehaen was able to outlast Martin
after PC won the first set 6-4. Dehaen was able to win 6-2, 10-7 to secure the
point. At the No. 6 position, Snead won the first set 6-3, but then lost the
second in a 7-6 score and the third set 10-4.
Ho put up a good fight against Watson at No. 3, but ultimately fell 6-4, 6-2.
Top-seeded Brigham lost a 6-2, 6-0 battle against Salec while fifth-seeded
Zaher lost 6-1,6-2 to Finkenbrink.
The Blue Hose will look to get back on track Thursday, Apr. 8 against
Spartanburg Methodist. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
