RADFORD, Va. - The Presbyterian College men's tennis team put forth a solid
effort, but dropped a 4-0 decision to Winthrop in the first round of the Big
South Conference Tournament.
PC finishes the 2010 campaign at 7-19 while the Eagles improve to 11-11.
Winthrop came out and won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. Second-seeded
Edward Snead and Ryan Walters lost an 8-3 contest to Nadav Ruppin and Guy Kubi.
Ivan Ho and James Zaher, playing at No. 3, was unable to defeat Liran Levy and Dejon
Bivens, falling 8-2.
Since the Eagles had secured the doubles point, the match at No. 1 was left
unfinished as the teams prepared for singles play.
Sixth-seeded Daniel Daudt downed Ryan Walters 6-2, 6-0, giving the designated
home team a 2-0 advantage.
Ho, who was set to battle Levy for the second time, could not defeat him in the
6-1, 6-2 loss. At No. 2, Matt Martin could not pick up the point as he fell to
Ruppin 6-2, 6-1.

again be one of two teams from PC eligible for the Big South Conference
postseason in 2011.
