To start the first half, Duke took a 6-0 lead before a three pointer by Johnson put PC on the board. The teams traded baskets and the Blue Hose trailed by three after a three pointer by Miller at 15:24. Miller connected on another three minutes later to bring PC within two, 17-19.
Duke answered with a 7-0 run over the next three minutes, and would extend their lead to 11 points with just under eight minutes remaining in the half, and despite some late first half baskets by the Blue Hose, the Blue Devils took a 55-30 lead into the locker rooms at half time.
Duke started the second half with a 10-0 run, and PC responded with a layup from Coleman and Johnson's second three pointer of the game to bring the score to 61-35. The Blue Devils continued to push, however, and would lead by 40 points for the majority of the second half. PC ended the game making four straight free throws, but Duke came away with the 96-55 win.
