Sara Simpson scored her third goal of the season on Saturday against the Camels to move to three on the season, one behind team leader Tori Lopez and her four goals and nine points. Sydney Fontenot has started the last three matches and sports a 1-5-0 record while making 4.4 saves per game.
The Blue Hose dropped a pair of close contests last week, falling to High Point (2-0) and Campbell (2-1). Sara Simpson scored her third goal of the season (all coming in the last six matches) in the second half against Campbell as PC attempted to pull even with the Camels.
The Blue Hose have played only four matches at home through their first 13 games but close out the season with four of the last five coming at Martin Stadium, beginning with Thursday night's tilt. PC next hosts Winthrop (10/18) and Gardner-Webb (10/20.)
