The Blue Hose found themselves down by just four, 14-10, in the first set, but High Point scored the next seven of eight points to jump out to a 21-11 lead. PC rallied to seven at 24-17, but it was too late as a kill be Davis ended the run as HPU took the 25-17 win.
With a total of eight ties in the second set, neither team could take more than a few point lead at any time. Tied 24-24, Hall's kill game PC set point at 25-24, with Trimpe's ace sealing the 26-24 win.
PC opened up a 7-1 lead early in the third set until HPU rallied to cut the margin to three, 14-11. Highlighting the set was the five kills from Hall and four from Barman.
Up by just one, 8-7 in the fourth set, PC opened up a 14-9 lead off multiple kills from Halle Tripp and a block by Kelly Berryman.
