The Bucs hit 10 three-pointers and shot over 60% in a decisive first half en route to the 95-58 win over the Presbyterian College men's basketball team in Big South action tonight in Charleston, S.C.

The Blue Hose fall to 4-14 overall and 0-3 in the Big South, while CSU improves to 8-8, 2-1 on the year.  PC is back in action Saturday, Jan. 18, as it hosts Gardner Webb at 2 p.m.  The Bucs host UNC Asheville the same day at 5:30 p.m.

William Truss led the Blue Hose with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Danny Herrera followed with 14.  Markus Terry added 10 on the night, just three from his career-high.

Matt Kennedy paced CSU with 21 points, going four-of-six from the perimeter.  Saah Nimley added 19 for the Bucs.  Paul Gombwer led the team on the boards with eight rebounds.

PC shot 46.3% for the game, compared to 50.0% for CSU.  The Bucs held the 41-30 advantage on the boards and had nine less turnovers, 8-15.  CSU recorded 23 points off those turnovers, compared to four for PC.

The Blue Hose were one-of-10 from the three point arc, and were scoreless until Herrera hit his lone perimeter shot at the 13:23 mark of the second half.  CSU was 13-of-34 for the game, hitting 10 in the first stanza.

The first half saw a close game the first few minutes with PC taking an 8-7 lead off a Downing basket with 17:09 on the clock.  Back to back three-pointers by CSU gave the Bucs a 13-8 lead at 14:59, igniting a 20-4 run the five minutes to extend the lead to 27-12 at the 11:27 mark.

The Bucs continued to hit well from the perimeter, connecting on 10 in the first half, to take their largest lead at the break, 52-26.

PC shot 54.5% in the second half and were 12-of-22 from the field, while holding the Bucs to 29.5% and just three three-poiinters, but the Blue Hose couldn't sustain a long enough run to come back from the double-digit halftime deficit.

A 6-0 CSU run the final minute game gave the Bucs their largest lead of the game at the end, 95-58.
