Men's Tennis Makes First Appearance in ITA National Rankings

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team makes its first-ever appearance in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I men's tennis team rankings this week, checking in on Tuesday at No. 75.

This week's edition marks PC's first-ever spot in the rankings. The team's 2.97 ranking average puts them .01 behind the University of Incarnate Word and Louisiana State University, who tie for No. 73.

PC is the only Big South Conference team to appear in the rankings.

“This is another big step for our program,” said head coach Adam Herendeen. “We have come such a long way in recent years and this is great recognition to all the players who have invested so much into our program. This recognition is also well deserved for all our support staff that does so many things behind the scenes to help our program take the steps that it has.

“We have a very strong schedule coming up in the next few weeks and the Big South Conference continues to get stronger and stronger. I am excited to see our players continue to grow and step up to the challenges that are ahead of us in our conference season.”

The Blue Hose resume Big South action this week, hosting Longwood at 2 p.m. Free pizza will be available.
