RALEIGH, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team wrapped up its three-day, four-match road swing on Monday with matches against Bryant and Pfeiffer. The Blue Hose suffered another close loss against Bryant, falling 4-3 in the early morning match. In the afternoon, they were able to complete doubles competition against Pfeiffer before rain caused the match to be suspended.

The Blue Hose played a modified match format against Bryant, featuring two doubles matches in best-of-three sets and five singles matches with all seven match worth one point each. The Bulldogs took the two doubles matches for the early 2-0 advantage in the match.

Bryant's Luke Lorenz and Max Vogt took the match on court two, 6-1, 6-2, over PC's Weaver and Broyhill to take the lead. On court one, Joel Roberts and Will Baird split the first two sets, dropping the first, 6-2, before taking the second, 6-1. Bryant's Jose Ortiz and Josh Kliger would prevail, though, in a close third set, 6-4.

PC would respond on the singles side with three wins in yet another close series of matches. Danny Bruce claimed his third win in his last four matches with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 1. Brandon Mills pulled out a tight set one, 7-6, on court four before taking the second, 6-1, for his second win of the year. Alejandro Bejar followed by winning at No. 5, 6-2, 6-3.

Bryant recorded wins on courts two and three in singles to clinch the 4-3 victory. Bryant's Mike Plutt claimed a 7-6, 6-4 win on court two, while Art Jakubowski won in similar fashion on court three, 6-4, 7-6.

PC returns to action on Saturday with a doubleheader in Charleston against College of Charleston and the Citadel.
