Lexington, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team dropped a pair of contests to visiting Marist on Saturday at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

LEADING OFF
- Jeremiah Boyd and Jimmy Marcelli both had two hit contests in the opening game as Boyd had two doubles. Marcelli added a two hit game in the night cap as well.
- Marcelli and Boyd both had three RBI's in game two to lead the Blue Hose offense.
- Zacchaeus Rasberry and Marcelli have a hit in all five games on the season.
- In game one, Reagan Fowler tossed a career-high 5.2 innings as he racked up three strikeout in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE
- Graham Mitchell lined a single back up the middle to give the Blue Hose an early 1-0 lead as Jonathan White came around to score.
- Zacchaeus Rasberry kept the offense going with an RBI single of his own in the second to make it 2-0.
- Marist got on the board in the fourth as they took advantage of a pair of Blue Hose errors to tie the game at two.
- PC retook the lead in its half of the fourth as Nick Guimbarda hit an RBI double to left field and allowing Andrew Livingston to come around to score.
- Marist retook the lead in the sixth with a home run and RBI single to make it 4-3. The guests added three runs in the seventh to make it 7-3.
- The Red Foxes added a pair of runs in the ninth followed by a single run for the Blue Hose en route to a 9-4 final in the opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO
- Marist opened up the contest with a four run opening half inning.
- The Blue Hose got on the board with an RBI groundout from Guimbarda to make it 4-1 after an inning.
- The Red Foxes added a pair of runs in the second to extend their lead to 6-1. Marist tacked on two more in the third before Marcelli lined a single to right to make it 8-2 thru four frames.
- The guests added four runs in the fifth to extend the lead to 12-2. They added a pair of runs in the seventh to extend it to a 14-2 ballgame.
- PC answered with two in home half of the seventh off the bat of Marcelli with a two-run single to make it 14-4.
- In the ninth, Luke Matthews picked up an RBI single to shortstop to make it 14-5.
- Rob Greco pick up a pinch hit RBI single to make it 14-6.
- Jeremiah Boyd unloaded the bases with a bases clearing triple to cut the lead down to 14-9.
- The Blue Hose rally continued with an Ashby Smith RBI double to the right center gap that made it 14-10 however the Red Foxes held on after that for the doubleheader sweep.
