Lexington, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team's comeback came up just short as Marist completed the three-game sweep with a 7-5 victory at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

LEADING OFF
- Zacchaeus Rasberry and Jimmy Marcelli have recorded hits in all six games of their Blue Hose careers as the pair both had two-hit games.
- Jonathan White, Tannor Byrd and Garrett Jones also added a pair of hits for Presbyterian.
- Jackson Dean finished with six strikeouts on the afternoon which is one shy of his career-high seven.
- Senior Colton Springs pitched the final two scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts for the Blue Hose after Matt Norton had a 1.2 innings of shutout baseball.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Foxes got on the board first after a single and a pair of walks loaded the bases in the second. They used a fielder's choice and single thru the right side to take the early 2-0 lead.
- Marist took advantage of a two-out Presbyterian error to plate a run in the third and extend its lead to 3-0.
- The guests added four more runs in their half of the sixth to make it 7-0.
- Presbyterian got on the board in its half of the sixth after a Marist wild pitch and an RBI single from Marcelli made it 7-2 after six frames.
- PC added a run in the seventh with a Garrett Jones RBI single to make it 7-3.
- The Blue Hose cut it to 7-5 on a pinch-hit two run single off the bat of Graham Mitchell.
- Marist worked around a bases loaded situation to stop the Blue Hose comeback and finished it off in the ninth for the three-game sweep.

- The Blue Hose hit the road once again for a Wednesday afternoon matchup with NC Central slated for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch. The game will be played at Durham Athletic Park in Durham, N.C.
