PC Golf Tied for Third After Big South Championship Opening Round

Ninety-Six, S.C. – Maiken Bing Paulsen and Julie Hillestad finished round one of the Big South Women's Golf Championship tied for 11th place with scores of 75 (+3), as the Presbyterian College women's golf team combined for an opening round of 306 to tie for third place. Campbell is hosting the 54-hole event at The Patriot Golf Course (par-72, 6230 yards).

Teams initially teed off beginning at 8:30 am on Friday, but play was postponed for over three hours due to inclement weather. The round officially restarted at 1:00 pm.

Also competing for PC, Ann Elizabeth Gore (t18) shot 77, Serina Combs (t26) shot 79 and Taylor Gardner (49) shot 90 during Friday's opening round.

Campbell finished the round in first place with a team score of 293. The Camels' Stacey White and High Point's Samantha Vodry both shot opening rounds of 70 (-2) to take an early lead for medalist honors. The Panthers (297) were second, and USC Upstate (306) were tied for PC for third place out of 11 competing teams.

The second round was suspended due to darkness at 7:45 pm. The final round is scheduled for Saturday after the conclusion of round two. Fans can follow live via Golfstat's live scoring feature.
